Procrastination: Leading Cause among Women For Extended Career Breaks

Every night, I sleep with a clear intent to make a difference tomorrow,
Every night, I sleep with the determination to make my day more meaningful.

Every night, I promise myself to start saying clear ‘NO’ to everyone’s menial jobs,
Every night, I promise myself to start my day with a clear ‘To Do’ list.

Every night, I sleep over my mental cobwebs with a hope to have clear skies next day,
Every night, I sleep to dump my doubts and need for external validation.

Every night, I promise to make my potential see light of the day,
Every night, I promise myself to answer everyone who questions my ability.

Every night, I  vow not to travel on guilt trip on anyone’s displeasure
Every night, I vow not to blame myself for everything wrong happening around.

Every night, I plan to reorient myself and be internally motivated,
Every night, I plan not to fail.

And next night, I again travel on guilt trip for not being myself.
And again I disappoint myself more.
I start believing more everyone around me, than my own self.
I increasingly look for validation, appreciation, acknowledgment of my being.
And I keep swinging in this vicious cycle of procrastination, self discovery, validation and identity crisis.

How many of you face the problem of procrastination, which is thinking of doing something close to our heart or we intend to do or we talk about it a lot. But we do not end up starting it or completing it at all?
By the way, let me tell you , I suffer from this disease quite often. I had acknowledged and accepted my problem and sought help.
Then, my coach shared something with me, which was like hitting a jackpot of information to answer my queries to my laid back approach.
